Head of Department Update – Digital Technologies & Humanities
It has been a busy first half of Term 3 across Digital Technologies and Humanities classrooms. Our Year 7s have been engaging with the Game of Life as part of Economics and Business; while our Year 8 students are stepping back in time and writing diary entries in their Medieval Europe unit as well as using Minecraft Education to construct castles.

Year 9s are focussed on either History or Geography with our Economics and Business Elective in full swing as well.
For Year 10 students, they have recently made subject choices for Year 11 as part of SETPLAN processes. Please ensure that your students are on track for success so that they are able to enter Year 11 in their chosen subjects and pathway.
Our Year 12s across Legal Studies are turning focus towards preparing for their External Exam or ensuring that VET competencies are completed for QCE attainment.
Check out these photos from our Year 12 Certificate III in Business class. Students turned their baking skills into a thriving venture—selling homemade cookies as part of their project. After their first round of trading, they had already made a profit!
A huge congratulations to these young entrepreneurs for combining creativity, teamwork and business savvy to make their idea rise to the top!

Digital Teaching and Learning Strategy Reference Group – Get Involved
We are committed to strengthening Digital Teaching and Learning at our school. To guide this work, we have formed a Digital Teaching and Learning Strategy Reference Group with student, staff, parent, industry, and community representatives. Recently, a Student Focus Group shared valuable insights into their experiences with digital learning, helping shape the direction of our strategy.
